Join Southeast Parks & Rec and Sensei Milada Kurucova for this uniquely challenging and creative program focusing on individual strength and coordination, balanced with artistic creativity.
KARATE PORTION: Introductory activities to teach participants basic principles and aspects of the Goju Ryu Karate style. Camp will include different drills, individual and partner exercises, games and activities emphasizing coordination, focus, balance, as well as mutual respect and teamwork.
ART PORTION: Each day of the week children will work with different materials including markers, colored pencils, paints, watercolors and collage. Each camp week will have a different art theme according to the schedule below:
Week 1: general and realistic (using shading, coloring, form)
Week 2: abstract (using shapes & expressionism)
Week 3: character design (make your own monster/creature)

Location: Brewster Karate Dojo (Inside taps-n-toes studio)
This program is open to children in K through 7th grades.
Participants should come prepared with a snack and water.
